What is Velo Salty Liquorice?
Velo Salty Liquorice is one of the flavours in VELO‘s tobacco-free nicotine pouch range, sold at Vape Dubai Shop under the Nicotine Pouches category. The liquorice profile blends traditional sweet liquorice with a salty finish, a distinctly Nordic flavour not found in VELO’s fruit or mint pouches.
How does it work?
Each pouch is placed between the upper lip and gum. Saliva activates the pouch, and nicotine is absorbed through the lining of the mouth rather than inhaled. There is no combustion, no heating element, and no vapour produced, which is why nicotine pouches can be used in places where smoking and vaping are not allowed.
How Long Does One Velo Salty Liquorice Pouch Last?
A single Velo Salty Liquorice pouch typically lasts around 30–60 minutes, depending on how long it is kept in place and individual absorption. Once the flavour and nicotine sensation fade, the pouch should be removed and disposed of rather than reused.
Is Velo Salty Liquorice Legal and Compliant in the UAE?
Tobacco-free nicotine pouches have been required to hold MoIAT/ECAS certification in the UAE since 31 July 2025, under Cabinet Resolution No. 2 of 2025.
Velo Salty Liquorice is sold by Vape Dubai Shop as a certified tobacco-free nicotine pouch under this scheme.
General tobacco-product sale, advertising, and age restrictions still fall under UAE regulations. Online retailers must verify buyer age with an Emirates ID or passport before delivery.
Nicotine pouches are regulated separately from vape e-liquid. The 20 mg/ml e-liquid cap does not apply here, since pouches are dosed per pouch rather than per millilitre.
Always check the ECAS/MoIAT mark on the can before use.

How to Use Velo Salty Liquorice
- Open the can and remove one pouch.
- Place the pouch between your upper lip and gum, with the rounded edge facing up.
- Press gently for a few seconds to help it settle in place.
- Leave the pouch in for 30–60 minutes, then remove it once the flavour and nicotine sensation fade.
- Dispose of the used pouch responsibly and store the can in a cool, dry place away from children and pets.
Who Should Buy Velo Salty Liquorice (and Who Shouldn’t)
Velo Salty Liquorice suits users who enjoy liquorice or Nordic-style flavours and want a Strong-tier nicotine pouch as a smoke-free alternative. Velo Salty Liquorice is not a good fit for beginners, given the Strong classification, or anyone who dislikes liquorice/aniseed-style flavours. Anyone new to nicotine pouches in general is better starting with a lower-strength option such as Velo Sour Lime (4 mg) or Velo Ruby Berry (6 mg) before moving up to 10 mg.
Where to Dispose of Used Velo Salty Liquorice Pouches in the UAE
Unlike disposable vapes, Velo Salty Liquorice pouches contain no battery or e-liquid, so there is no puncture, crush, or fire risk to manage. Used pouches should still go into general household waste rather than being flushed or dropped outdoors, since a spent pouch retains some residual nicotine and should be kept away from children and pets. Empty cans are typically aluminium or plastic and can usually be recycled through household recycling — check with Dubai Municipality or your local waste provider for the exact accepted stream in your area.
