Removable cells power box mods. Our range lists the EFEST 18650 IMR at 3000mAh and the AWT 18650 IMR at 3500mAh. A higher mAh figure generally means more run time, but it does not tell you how much current a cell can safely deliver, so read the maker details before you buy.

The Oxbar Maglink Battery is different. It is a 1500mAh unit for Maglink-compatible pods, charged over Type-C with pass-through charging, according to its listing.

Using removable cells safely

Use matched cells, keep them in a case, check the wrap for tears, and never carry them loose with keys or coins. Our Armour Max review covers a device that takes two cells.

Sub-ohm tanks

A sub-ohm tank is built for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping. We list the Vaporesso iTank 2 and the iTank T at 6ml, and the Voopoo TPP Pod 2 Tank, which its listing says has a 510 threaded base for use on many box mods.
