When to replace a coil

A coil is finished when the flavour turns muted, harsh or burnt, when vapour production drops, or when the pod starts spitting or leaking. How long that takes depends on the liquid and how much you vape. Sweet, dark or heavily sweetened e-liquids tend to build residue on the coil and shorten its life, while lighter fruit and menthol liquids are generally easier on it.

Getting more life from a coil

Prime a new coil before use: wet the wicking ports, fill the pod, and let it stand for several minutes so the cotton saturates fully. Firing a dry coil burns the wick immediately. Avoid chain-vaping a fresh coil, and keep the pod topped up rather than running it near empty.

Matching the right part

Coils are not interchangeable between brands, and often not between devices from the same brand. Check the device name and the resistance printed on the old coil before ordering. Lower resistance generally means more power, warmer vapour and faster liquid use, while higher resistance suits mouth-to-lung vaping and lower-wattage devices.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my new coil taste burnt?

Most often because it was not primed. Wet the wicking ports, fill the pod and wait several minutes before the first puff. A coil that has already tasted burnt is usually damaged and should be replaced.

Can I clean a coil and reuse it?

It is not recommended. Residue builds up inside the cotton and cannot be removed properly, so replacing the coil is the reliable fix.

How do I know a coil is compatible with my device?

Match the device name and the resistance printed on your old coil. Coils are rarely interchangeable between brands, so if you are unsure, message us on WhatsApp with a photo.
